The mission of Rede Pitágoras (Pitágoras Network) is to provide educational solutions that meet personal and institutional needs.

Profil

Rede Pitágoras forms part of one of the largest educational institutions in Brazil – Pitágoras – comprised of high schools, universities and a foundation, all operating on an international scale. Our schools provide an education centered on learning, valuing our teachers, staff and partners with fast responses and flexibility, ethics in our relationships, efforts toward social citizenship and a focus on results in the formation of values.

Our approach and pedagogy address the human, cultural, socio-political and ethical dimensions of students with the following aims:

• the development of an attitude of curiosity, reflection and a critical sense for knowledge and the interpretation of reality;
• the ability to critically and creatively use the various forms of language in the contemporary world;
• the understanding of natural processes and respect for the environment;
• the development of an attitude of valuing, caring, and individual and collective responsibility in relation to health and sexuality;
• nurturing independence and cooperation and a sense of co-responsibility in the processes of individual and collective development;
• the competency to act in the workplace within the principles of respect for oneself, for others and for the community’s resources;
• the exercise of citizenship for the critical, creative and ethical transformation of social realities;
• the motivation and the ability to continue one’s own education in the future.

Résultats

With its innovative approach, Pitágoras has become a national standard in education. Today, we boast a network of over 600 schools across Brazil as well as an additional six units in Japan, all of which receive the technical-pedagogical support that has made Pitágoras so successful.

We pride ourselves on the high level of academic achievement of our schools, many of which regularly perform well above the national average on the standardized ENEM government examinations.
