Mission
The mission of Chinmaya Mission is to provide individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Vedanta and the practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, enabling them to become positive contributors to society.
Profile
Chinmaya Mission was established in India in 1953 by devotees of the world-renowned Vedanta teacher, His Holiness Swami Chinmayananda. Under his guidance, these devotees formed the nucleus of a spiritual renaissance movement that now encompasses a wide range of spiritual, educational, and charitable activities, ennobling the lives of thousands in India and outside its borders.
The Education movement of the mission is run by the Chinmaya Education Cell, which has its headquarters in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Currently there are 76 schools across the country.
Chinmaya Mission offers a holistic approach to education by nurturing and ensuring the child’s physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual development, fostering knowledge and pride for Indian culture, and by ensuring that each child develops a strong sense of commitment to their country and a sense of belonging to the universe as a whole.
At Chinmaya Mission, we believe that learning is achieved through diverse styles and teaching. For this reason, we approach teachers as continuous learners in need of ongoing training and continuous updates. Our central education cell organizes and provides guidance through periodic assessment of schools and regular orientation programs and seminars. We also offer a concrete platform on which all our schools function to ensure a uniform direction.

Results
The Chinmaya education cell conducts regular assessments both self and external to measure the results of our schools. Regular support is also extended by the monitoring team to schools to ensure their ongoing achievement and progress.
