Mission

Cambian Education specialises in helping young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders gain the education, living skills, and confidence required for a fulfilling and productive life.

Profile

Cambian is the largest provider of specialist residential education and care for young people with Autism & Asperger Syndrome in the United Kingdom.

We offer extensive community-based programmes, vocational training and further education opportunities so that, by the end of the programme, our young people have the practical skills to make choices and participate meaningfully in their community.

They learn to communicate and socialise; they learn how to manage their daily lives and to live more independently; they learn to enjoy new activities and skills and they begin to achieve success, whether academic or vocational.

There is no standard journey to acquire these skills. We start with an assessment of the unique needs of each individual to create a personalised Individual Education Plan and Care Plan. Cambian draws on a proven programme of Education, Specialist Care and Clinical Inputs. Multi-disciplinary teams and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support and one-to-one skill building.

Results

We have over 30 years experience transforming the lives of young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Our approach is outcome focused. Our effectiveness is judged on the individual accomplishments of each student during their time with us. We are proud that these accomplishments range from A-levels for some, to improved communication and successful participation in family daily life for others.

Our Cambian schools and colleges are also proud to have been rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted reports and we continue to deliver best levels of education, care and support to our students. Recent Ofsted reports for each of our schools are available on our website.
