American Education Group

"Specializing in the Future of Education"

Mission

The mission of American Education Group is to provide college-preparatory PK-12 education through unique and innovative school models that set a new standard for student-centered education.

Profile

The traditional standard classroom approach to education does not work for all kids. Many students cannot thrive in a classroom setting that expects every student to conform to a standard approach. American Education Group (AEG) believes schools should adjust to student needs instead of forcing students to adapt to traditional practice in traditional models.

Mainstream public and private schools are generally unable to effectively meet the challenges of children with unique learning needs, issues, or desires. AEG’s strategic focus is to acquire and replicate prep school models that are dedicated to serving these children and their parents.

Our focus is in two areas that we believe have outstanding growth prospects:

1. Specialized college prep schools for students with specific issues, needs or desires such as:
     • students with learning differences
     • students with emotional issues
     • students desiring a bi-lingual and/or internationally-focused education

2. Highly academic Pre-K schools that are superior educationally to the traditional day care model.

Today, we are acquiring schools in these areas that have unique opportunities to grow and, potentially, replicate. Over time, we will aggressively replicate the highest potential niche models and build them into national leaders in their competitive segment.

Results

At AEG, we emphasize the measurement of academic progress for every student. This has translated into strong results at all of the diverse schools in our network.

At Barnstable Academy, for instance, nearly 90 percent of the graduates have gone on to four-year colleges and universities and another 5 percent have gone on to two-year programs. In addition, Barnstable students continually test above the national average on standardized tests such as the S.A.T.

Similarly, Shreiner Academy is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (University of Georgia). The program is "Accredited with Quality" which is the highest level of accreditation awarded by the G.A.C. Schools selected for this honor must meet exacting standards for curriculum, faculty, credentials, and facilities.

We pride ourselves on our belief that all AEG schools offer ‘the mark of a better school’.
