Renowned education policy expert, Prof. James N. Tooley, has recently joined the School Chain Showcase as Special Advisor. Dr. Tooley is a Professor of Education Policy and Director of the E.G. West Research Centre at Newcastle University.
Dr. Tooley’s work includes a three-year research project supported by the John Templeton Foundation to explore private education for low-income families in Africa and Asia, for which he was awarded the Gold Prize in the Private Sector Development Competition administered by the Financial Times and the International Finance Corporation in 2006.
Currently, Dr. Tooley is the President of The Education Fund, Orient Global: a $100 million fund aimed at “supporting entrepreneurial solutions to improve the quality and availability of education in developing countries around the world.”
